Apparently this was my “summer of hearing aids” as we kicked things off with Tom Strand for UnitedHealthcare Hearing (for the 2nd time during Covid!) in Minneapolis. During this 3 days shoot, we’ll be filming at a house, a bakery restaurant, and a clinic. As with other shoots I’ve been on with Tom, this one had both a still photos and video motion capture element to keep up moving quickly. I’m gaining an even deeper understanding about the video world on every shoot. My new role to highlight is the AC (Assistant Camera) who is responsible for assembling anything camera related, not just body and lenses, but also handles making sure the videos stay in focus while the DP moves around and we are directed to pay attention to different parts of the scene in front of the camera. Spencer Nelson is absolutely crushing this role. He’s also been on other video shoots with me and I cannot thank him enough for his hard work.
