The PLDG agency with one of my fav art directors, Heather Laubach, booked Tom Strand on a photo and video shoot for Medtronic‘s Endoscopy division. I’ll admit that I didn’t know much about Endo, but the MDT team taught us all about it. The real winner here is the spectacular location that Charlotte Ariss found for us! There’s a real operating hospital near Minneapolis that doesn’t do surgeries on the weekends, so they will allow film shoots. The funny part is that we had a 3 day shoot, so we needed to wait Mon-Fri before we could get back inside for our 3rd day. And yes that’s a REAL person on the operating table. We tried to get a realistic medical mannequin, but during covid, shipping times made that impossible. So we ended up hiring a model extra to basically take a 4 hours nap on the operating table. What an easy day for them! Bring your favorite podcast and headphones.
We shot video for this too, but I haven’t been able to get my hands on it …yet.
