Richard Schultz came to Austin for this overnight shoot at our downtown Whole Foods flagship store! This shoot ended up being a co-production from Amy Whitehouse who started the job, but ended up with some date conflicts so I covered her. I was a little worried about the overnight aspect, as some logistics were pretty tricky, but we figured out the best approach. The crew started getting a little silly around 3am, but with the right amount of coffee and snacks, we made it through the night. We also tried a new restaurant for catering “lunch” at 1pm, but I was pretty disappointed in their quality and portion size – they knew what we had to do for preserving the meals from 10pm drop off until 1am meal break, but I think they really failed. The store’s team made sure we had a gorgeous and pristine space to shoot in. Super bonus, my friend Gideon Tsang was cast as one of the Whole Foods workers so we got to chat on set a bit. So good!
